yes. Theres a portion of the stone steps to his Galveston house that still stand in one spot

Legend is he buried his treasure somewhere on the island but the fact stands a lot of it was liquid treasure and a lot of it was put into building town infrastructure and his own house

I saw some snails. Invasive species but cute.

Every time I visit Galveston Island, I see more and more of it and love it more
