Alright, so I got a few scenes of a Carmen Sandiego musical bouncing around in my head, so to clear them out, as I think of them I'll put them here. They probably won't even be close to in order, but hey, this is just a mental doodle. With that said, here's the opening number, set to a tune that's probably very familiar to most of you:
Well, she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize
And everybody knows that there’s no other thief that’s finer
But tell me who in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Do you know just how she got her start, or maybe where she calls her hometown?
How she knows all that she knows, and why she does it at all?
Or maybe how it is that VILE knows how to turn ACMEs into patsies?
Tell me who in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
You see her life is a mystery, a shadowy history
But here now for you it will finally be shown
She’s a ragamuffin toughened up by too much time on grimy streets then she
Was placed in a state run school for orphaned girls of Golden Gate
She was so smart a part as ACME detective got given by directive
Tell me who in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Oh, tell me who in the world?(And tell me who will she be?)
Got started at thirteen and shook up the whole scene
Embraces hard cases, a genius, this gumshoe
[SPOKEN (after the weird roar thing)]
And that’s how Carmen Sandiego began, an orphan girl from the streets of San Francisco, no memory of her parents and no prospects, but a brilliant mind and a keen eye, enough to definitely warrant a second look. And someone gave her that second look at the age of 13, someone who needed a person with her obvious skills and natural talents: the Chief of the ACME Detective Agency, who snapped her up and put her to work in the organization. She quickly proved herself as one of the best, with each case getting cracked with ease. It seemed no one could give Detective Sandiego the slip, not even the notorious Dr. Maelstrom, though it was certainly her hardest case. And that is where our story will begin, right as she finishes up the press conference. No matter what Maelstrom may have told her, she certainly isn’t going to leave the organization she’s worked for for ten years? This is where our story begins, and
