I'm thinking about a director, of movies, not of a company.

Rules:
  • You have 11 questions (in total, not each).
  • They must all be yes/no questions.
  • First correct answer closes the game.
  • If the game hits 11 questions with no correct answer, the game also closes

No, this person has won no Academy Award for directing, but has won an Academy Award (not for acting).

Yes, she is female at birth and still is female now.

9 questions left.
Is this female director Sofia Coppola? Because of the clue: she was nominated for Best Director for the 2003 movie Lost in Translation however she did win Best Original Screenplay for Lost in Translation.

>.< I thought she is the one...I thought the clue is: This person has won no academy award for directing, but has won an academy award (not for acting)...okay so it's not Sofia Coppola...I know another female that won an academy award (not for acting).

Is this female director Jane Campion?

because she's another female director nominated for the academy award for best director and like Sofia Coppola after her... she won Best Original Screenplay for the Piano which star Holly Hunter who won best actress for the Piano and Anna Paquin for best supporting actress who was eleven years old at the time.

Older or alternative terms used locally include simply "the fog" or sometimes "Big Mama", Seasonal Names: It is often associated with the terms "June Gloom" or "Fogust" due to its prevalence in the summer months.

Did you know....the horns on the viking's helmets are a myth? The popular image of the "horned Viking" can be traced back to the 1870s. Costume designer Carl Emil Doepler created horned helmets for Richard Wagner’s opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen to enhance the characters' theatrical presence. (I BELIEVE in the Where in Time game, they tell us this too....)
