Catch Carmen Sandiego!

An animated adventure series in the style of 1970s Hanna-Barbera, blending globetrotting action, comedy, and mystery with a classic Scooby-Doo/ Penelope Pitstop formula.

Plot Summary:

Teenage detectives Zack and Ivy, equipped with cutting-edge technology, travel the world in pursuit of the elusive master thief, Carmen Sandiego. With the help of their sarcastic, glitch-prone Chief, a holographic AI once associated with Carmen, and their crime-sniffing beagle Stretch, the team chases Carmen through daring heists, outrageous disguises, and clever riddles.

Carmen—always one step ahead—steals monumental treasures with style, leaving behind taunting notes and clues that Zack and Ivy try to decipher. Each episode is a mix of action-packed chases, hilarious mishaps with Carmen’s bumbling henchmen, and Carmen’s smooth escapes in sleek, high-tech getaway vehicles like jet-powered motorbikes and futuristic cars.

Despite their best efforts, Zack, Ivy, and Chief never quite catch Carmen, but the fun lies in their constant attempts to outwit the world’s greatest thief while also handling quirky tech glitches, their goofy sidekick Stretch, and misadventures that always seem to get in the way.

Every episode culminates with Carmen slipping away, leaving the team to reflect on their failed attempt, only for the chase to start all over again.

Tone:

A blend of action, comedy, and adventure with lighthearted moments and slapstick humor. The show features quirky villains, high-energy chases, and sharp wit, all wrapped in a colorful, 70s-inspired animation style. It’s a mix of mystery-solving and ridiculous moments that will keep audiences laughing while rooting for the ever-elusive Carmen Sandiego.

Target Audience:

Fans of adventure cartoons, mystery-solving, and comedy—perfect for those who love action-packed chases with a comedic twist.

In Catch Carmen Sandiego!, it’s not just about catching the thief; it’s about how they’ll fail to catch her in the most entertaining way possible!
