I am thinking of a sea. Not an ocean, not a freshwater body, and not something that blurs the distinction between lake and sea. We will go until it is solved. Good luck.

Rules, per you-know-who:
  • You have an infinite number of questions
  • They must all be yes/no questions
  • First correct answer closes the game

Of course you do, and don't call me Shirley.

Is it in or bordering Europe?
Good question.

Geographically, no. If you do a Google search for "map of Europe," you will not find this sea on it.

Politically, yes. There is at least one island within its waters that is under the jurisdiction and sovereignty of a European nation.

"You are likely thinking of the British cannonball embedded in the wall of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk, Virginia. It was fired by British ships during the shelling of the city on January 1, 1776—months before the United States declared independence."
