Furthering The CS Side of The Iron and Steel-verse

Julie Justice being a good supportive friend is encouraging me to try and post my work here again. She also thinks Lucy might enjoy it.

Let me stress here again I need to hear feedback, not just Like clicks. Shattered took months of my time to write. Loaded Stone took years to produce. Frostbite was written back not long after Shattered came out but it's been reformatted to comic for storytelling.

It would be very wise to re-read Shattered ... even though almost no one read it the first time. Shattered is right on the heals timeline-wise to Frostbite.

Remember all my stories are connected into the same universe. The only thing I won't present here is a one page short that is the first glimpse at a villain mildly hinted at existing back in Devil's Blood and Loaded Stone. He will be appearing in this story.

The reason that I put up an emoji like Like Love etc, first, is just to let you know that, yes, I did read it.

This is great way to introduce the backstories of Eartha Brute, Sara Nade, and Sara Bellum. In fact, the way that you've written the backstory of Sara Bellum, kind of reminds me of the backstory of Harley Quinn in Batman and how she met The Joker.

I also like you showing Carmen taking over VILE and making it what is.

I also really like the way you're showing the beginning of ACME becoming a great Detective Agency.

Much better than some of the storylines and backstories for ACME and VILE than there were in the Netflix Carmen Sandiego, for instance.

Thank you, and I hope you don't mind me saying this. Shattered could use a re-read here. Unless when you say introduction you are counting that story and not just the comic pages.

Sarah Nade was introduced in that story and she was working beside Carmen most of the way through it. Eartha Brute was introduced at nearly the very end of the story along with Sara Bellum right after that .

As for Eartha Brute's backstory. I never thought of it that way but I can see where you are coming from on it. I also couldn't pass up writing in Coach Brunt for more than one reason (hint: later on in Frostbite). More will be revealed about Eartha in this current story because I wanted to give her character development. I still remember Tenchi saying ages back something to the effect of not making Eartha simply a muscled moron.

About ACME. There is a short story missing here which I consider debatable to post. While ACME never comes up at all in it. A comic story named "Kettle Buzz" shows the root start of who Jocelyn is to become later in life. As that story is set when she's still a child in the 1870's. Things don't really end as she'd like in that story but it's to show who she could be (one of ACME's founders).

Back to Shattered here. Carmen isn't taking over VILE here but between that story and the current you can tell she is rising in the ranks. It isn't until modern day returning VILE that you can tell she is top dog. That will be re-emphasized when "Red Skies" is being produced, as Loaded Stone helps setup that story.

After this page I am being forced into a detour here about storytelling.

Life offline has been a chaotic mess since the end of April and that's caused me producing pages to fall behind to a buffer dangerous level. ComicFury hosting has been on a strict schedule for posting since 2015 when that started. If I don't create a short easy to make a page a day with. Postings will fall behind.

The short about to be made has zero to do with the CS side of the universe. I will only post its pages here if people say they are interested in reading them.

This is in regard to the previous page, because I know it will be easier to find if I do it this way.

I know I did read Shattered, but when I went back to read it on here, to refresh my memory, I couldn't find it. Perhaps you could repost on here, at some point.

Like I said, I really like what you're doing with Eartha Brute's backstory. I've always liked her character; but I never liked that she is portrayed as stupid. Carmen would never have someone like that working for her. All of Carmen's people have to have some level of intelligence and ability for Carmen to recruit them in the first place--and they would also continue to learn things over time working for Carmen.

As long as the story about Jocelyn is a memory from the past, I don't think there will be any problem with you posting it at all. I think it sounds very good. Just specify that is what it is, so people understand. The only problem with setting a story in the past--or the future--is whether or not time travel is involved. Somewhere on this site (I forget where, exactly) there is a brief agreement not to use the ACME Chronoskimmer or Carmen's time machine. No Medeva and other people considered "magical" are restricted on here, too. More so, to keep someone from posting a story that affect the entire site. If you notice when you read all the great stories on here, what one person writes for the storylines for their character, does not affect anyone else (unless people choose to collaborate on a story). The most obvious example of this is the great story written by Joe Kerr, based on the "Boyhood's End"/Can You Ever Go Home Again?" eps of WoEiCS?. Only in Joe's story, Lee Jordan, accidentally shoots Carmen, and she dies (I wont say any more than that, in case you want to read it, at some point. I don't remember the name, go, to Journals, and look for things written by Joe Kerr, and you will find it.) Needless to say, when other people wrote stories that mentioned Carmen, she was alive and well.

Don't worry, we are very understanding of other people's problems here (when someone feels comfortable enough to share) so, if you need to you have things going on IRL that you have to deal with, that keep you from posting for awhile, it's alright.

Weird information here considering I'm a geek. But I have zero intentions of ever introducing time travel into this story universe. I like the idea of working within certain fantasy restrictions even if they make some ideas undoable. Also note here I have nothing against time travel stories. Like example I'm a big Doctor Who fan for one.

On this note since I know time travel is canon for Carmen Sandiego, Inspector Gadget and Gadget Boy. I couldn't help but write this crack into Devil's Blood for people to catch if they had watched the canon Gadget Boy. (Yes, I am aware the series is awful.)

"I think they're insane in their ideas but hey, they aren't a problem any more!" The bird shepherd started laughing towards the end of saying his answer. Nothing about what had been said was funny, as far as anyone else present was concerned. What the matter did invoke of a different reaction in the party, was with only one of them. Jake's attention had been caught before the criminal's last words. When exactly he had stopped paying full attention to the fine tuner he was holding, was when the inspector had last spoken. Now having disturbing thoughts of possibility go through his head. The former JOY Agent opened his mouth to ask.

"These MAD Agents who went to work for RAGE. What were they into? Witchcraft?"

"Time travel," John replied simply.

It was Jake's turn to now laugh before he composed himself to then say. "Any success, I hope not? God, if Sybil was still around, what that mad woman would do with such a thing!"

What's been happening offline is complex.

I was living in a falling apart RV for a long time. The thing was nearly unlivable.

Last year I made a new friend that I didn't know was the top dog at her work place also the most devote deserves wings Christian I have ever met. To put this short when she learned how bad things for me were about what I was living in. She was getting cabin fever being stuck in her place for a while and she bought me an RV in much better shape than the one I was used to.

Beyond super grateful to her, and the fact I am also buds with a knows all repairman living in the same RV park as myself.

Before he could start to work on fixing up my new home, out of the blue my brother decides to re-enter my life. Him and I have never gotten along but he was trying to make amends with me. Apparently, I saved his life when he decided to research the auditory dysfunctions I have. It led him down a path of discovery and stopped his suicidal thoughts since he didn't know he shared at least one or two of the problems I have.

He told me of his better life than mine. Rich beyond the dreams of ever winning a lottery. And that all I had to do was ask him for anything and he'd grant it, buy it or fund it. He also asked me early on what was the most important thing in my life I needed. I told him how much I missed living in Colorado but couldn't get back there.

He then promised to not only get me back to where I wanted to live again but also buy/make me a house there. Many other promises came out of his mouth that by all means it felt he would follow through with. Among them was paying for the full repairs to the new RV.

But in talking to him be it text or vocal he was switching tracks at random about how he was talking. Jumping from one thing to another at rapid speed and changing important matters without consulting me first (things which effected my life that he'd change without real thought).

He didn't act so random when we grew up together. He never felt growing up that his thoughts seemed out of control into being fearful speaking to him because of how quickly he was changing his mind every other moment. In our chats he did say all the meds he was on. He also admitted to taking mushrooms on top of this mind-altering prescriptions.

Then he got sick with something that could have been a Cold or Covid from description but he decided on his own it was "Parkinson's disease". Then weeks later he says he's been laid off from work but he wasn't worried about that one bit because of the tons of money the lost job had given him, and he had an interview lined up.

Then he axed his relationship with me saying he was going back on all his promises and to never contact him again.

I had to scramble to contact local charities to fix his broken promises that were being funded. Like fully paying an owed repairman $2,000. Thank goodness I go to a large church. My repairman was ready to take him to court if he wasn't paid for what he started my brother promised he'd pay.

Things are still wildly messed up because of my brother's change of mind and heart. Thinking on his mood swings and mental train switching tracks at breakneck speed. I informed my primary care doctor all he was taking legal and illegal. The **** doesn't have Parkinson's disease. He's having dangerous drug interactions!

I have tried to contact him to tell him what kind of danger he's in. He hasn't acknowledged all attempts to reach him. Even a welfare check the police did on him earlier today. Also to no surprise the officer over the phone said another person has tried to do a welfare check on him too.
