I saw an article about how several large venues are going to have drone shows for New Year's eve instead of fireworks shows. Wonder if San Fran is one of them?

Are they trying to be different for the sake of it?

I'd be fine with a drone show. but kids are going to be upset... not that they should be up that late anyway

Don't know what the motivation is. I'm sure showing off new tech is somewhere up on the list.

I also wonder what sort of trouble some sufficiently motivated individual could get up to with such a drone swarm?

It's going to be dark as well I'm guessing they're going to be lit up, but at night people hate trying to spot things

But if they try to make drone shows a normal thing people will definitely try to interfere with their own drones
