Neither have I, to be honest. It's the first Zelda game I ever played. The lore is so deeply embedded into pop culture that I didn't entirely enter it blind, but I don't think I enjoyed it as much as someone who has known and loved the franchise for a long time.))

It's not quite on the level of Witcher 3, but that could be my personal bias talking. It is certainly deep, nuanced, requires a significant investment of time, and has a high replayability factor, but the multiple choices and raw emotion of Witcher 3 will always rank it higher from a storytelling perspective. The narrative of BOTW won't change dramatically depending on your choices, whereas Witcher has, what, 35 different endings to the main storyline? Witcher 3 is also very dark. It targets a different audience, and that has to be considered as well.))
