Self-education is great, really. And yeah, French Revolution was crazy. But extremely interesting. I once took a drive from Paris down to the Riviera to follow the path of the Revolution.
Basically stopped by locations as the 'news' got to each town, and figured out what happened historically when the French at the time learned what was happening in Paris.
