It doesn’t. It’s more like the song is about two princesses one wants to be equal the other wants to protect. Like they was always side by side until some hidden truth was revealed. It’s actually based in an animatic video of mlp

Basically like Charlet gets hurt and Carmen wants to comfort her but Charlet doesn’t want Carmen bear. I think it would fit in the more grown up spin off of Charlet
