A day with jade
I own nothing, I also have permission granted to write down this story, I hope you enjoy it jade.
Morning rose brilliantly over the ACME headquarters and invader was sleeping in after having helped around the place all night long. She had been adjusting well to being here, and had made a few new acquaintances. Though certain things still set her off every now and then. Outside the room cole was watching her sleep , there was just something about how she slept that was weird to him. Most of the time she was buried under piles of sheets or blankets, today she had made a nest out of them.
" HEY ! sleepyhead you gonna spend all morning in there?" Cole shouts.
" What time is it, how long have I been out?" Replies Invader waking up.
"It is now 9:30 am, I wanted to say goodbye before I head out for training." Offers Cole.
" Oh ,I nearly forgot sorry about that let me get dressed!" Exclaims invader fully awake now.
"See you in 5!" Calls back Cole waiting outside the door.
Invader pops out a few moments later dressed in a tee shirt and jeans and fallows Cole around the building. Shortly they are joined by Chase, Zack and Ivy whom ruffles invaders hair for fun. Chase one the other hand wishes Zack, Ivy, and Cole good luck with training and summons invader to the office nearby.
"You have been invited to a party at the new bowling alley called comet lanes." Informs Chase.
" Whom am I meeting today?" Questions Invader.
"You are meeting our free agent Jade, and someone named lee Jordan." Replies Chase.
"I am none to good at bowling though, I am rustier than a rake kept in salt water." Laughs Invader.
"You don't have to go bowling unless you want to." Offers Chase with a slight smile. "lee is giving you a ride there, he should be here shortly."
Elsewhere Jade is relaxing in her living room watching a movie and keeping an eye out for the mail. The mail arrives sooner than expedited, and there is a envelope addressed to jade from ACME. Opening it she has been invited to lunch at the grand opening of the bowling alley. This makes her rather excited.
" Hey Sam I get to go bowling!" Exclaims Jade to her cat. "It has been a while though, I hope my gear is still in good shape."
Her cat Sam runs over and hugs her one as if to say congratulations. Jade looks over the guest list, and is happy that lee will be there. However there is a person she does not know the list and has never heard of them.
"Hmm, there seems to be someone new here, Invader? I wonder who that is?" She thinks to herself.
Meanwhile back at ACME headquarters lee is a little late and finds chase waiting for him at the front door.
"Hello chase, where is our guest I am bringing to the grand opening?" Ponders Lee.
"She should be right out." Offers Chase.
Invader walks outside and manages to trip down the stairs landing in a heap in front of chase.
"Are you ok?" Chase asks concerned.
"Yah , I am fine, not exactly the entrance I wanted to make." Invader replies while getting to her feet."
"Invader this is lee, he will be giving you a ride. Informs Chase.
"Hello there, nice to meet you!" Lee offers with a grin.
"Nice...to meet you.... Mr.Lee." Replies Invader apprehensively.
"Easy there, I don't bite." Reassures Lee.
"She is still getting used to people,and I thought she needed some time away." Chase explains.
"You ready to go?" Asks Lee of invader.
He offers her the front seat but she decides to sit in the back, along the way he notices the girl is rather quiet.
"So tell me where are you from?" Inquires Lee.
" I ...don't remember... it comes..and goes" Invader muses. "I want to say I came from another world."
"Come again?" Lee replies a bit thrown off.
"I was a rescue from a lab called other world, I was sent from somewhere else." Invader sighs.
"Not what I was expecting, but quite the imagination kiddo." He smirks.
"I am not a kid sir, I am 30 years old!" Shoots back invader. "Besides I really am not of this world."
" I don't really think you are a kid at all, it is just an expression." Lee reassures. "By the way ,welcome to ACME rookie."
"What?, I was given a place here, and I do some cleaning and such...." She replies taken aback.
"I took the liberty of looking up your file, you are quite the little enigma, they see something in you though." Lee muses.
Invader falls silent while contemplating this new information she has received.
"That is not a bad thing, you will like it there!" Offers Lee.
"I could use a nap, I hope you don't mind." Offers Invader.
"Knock yourself out kiddo." Laughs Lee.
Invader falls asleep with her chin on her chest, then leans forward. An hour later they make it to jades house, and jade is waiting outside and is very happy to see lee.
"Hey lee, long time sense I saw you last." Greets Jade.
"Good to see you too." Answers Lee. "We have a guest today."
"Is that invader? how is that comfy ?" Asks Jade looking into the car.
"That looks terribly uncomfortable , but hey she seems just fine." Muses Lee.
"Should we wake her up?" Questions Jade.
"No lets not till we get there." Replies Lee.
The two of them get in the car and jade says farewell to her cat who jumps in the back seat.
"Sam you can't come with us." Groans Jade.
Sam decides to hug the sleeping figure,then hops out of the car. The two of them chat it up along the way and invader does not wake up at all even when the radio gets turned on. Eventually they arrive at comet lanes and lee nudges invader who wakes up and looks around.
"Hey sleepyhead, we are here!" Calls Lee.
"Hi invader, nice to meet you!" Jade says smiling.
"Jade is a nice name, it is also a ornamental stone that is commonly used in elaborate carvings. It's colors range from pale white to a most brilliant green , and all shades in between." Remarks Invader. "It is very commonly used or oriental carvings, and is thought to bring good luck."
"I think we have a walking encyclopedia on our hands." Lee muses.
The trio enter the bowling alley and are escorted to a private room where several agents are waiting for them. Invader seems a bit nervous , but Jade tells her that they are all nice people and she has nothing to worry about. That settles her down for a bit tough she is still nervous. Everyone has bowling gear on , and invader agrees to play at least one round. At the end of the fist round invader is fourth score wise ,but she manages to get a strike on the last frame.
Jade on the other hand is blowing away the competition , lee however is next to last just behind Zack. Jade managed to get two turkeys in a row. Cole is still getting the hang of things but is otherwise having fun. Lee on the other hand kept getting gutter balls for a bit. Everyone decides to take a break and Lee notices there is an arcade. Invader fallows the two of them as she was very found of crane machines.
"Hey jade I bet I can win a plush for you." Boasts Lee.
"I would like to see you try lee." Jade laughs.
"Darn it!" Yells Lee as he misses a few times.
"Can I try , Mr lee?" Invader Inquires.
'Sure kiddo , knock yourself out." Scoffs Lee.
Invader wins the plush for jade, and then some other ones for good measure.
"Hey she is pretty good!" Muses Jade.
"I bet she cant get that one!" Challenges Lee pointing to a difficult one.
Invader looks at it for a long ,time then goes for the plush in the far right corner.
"There you are Mr.Lee." She proclaims triumphantly.
"Ok you beat me , kiddo , I have to hand it to you." Admits Lee.
"How are you so good at that?" Inquires Jade.
"I think I may have played them a lot, at some point" Invader sighs.
"Hey the pizza is here , lets go eat." Offers Jade.
The trio head into the private room for some pizza, invader decides to mix all the soda flavors together and drink it on a dare.
"Is she really drinking that ?" Says Jade concerned.
"It is good, want to try some?" Offers Invader.
"No thank you." Replies Jade politely.
"How about you Lee?" Invader asks with a smirk.
"No way, that is just gross!" Lee replies disgusted.
"I dare you to lee!" Challenges Jade.
"Ugh I think I need to rinse my mouth out." Says Lee after taking a sip. "By the way why are you drinking that?"
"I did not want the soda to go to waste." Offers Invader.
Later on all the agents play several more rounds and invader sits on the bench watching them play. All of them seem to be having a good time, and invader accidentally spooks Cole one by sneaking up on him. Eventually it is time to leave, and invader is rather worn out. Jade is rather happy, but is sad to be leaving. However she hopes to come back soon to this place. The trio head back to the car, Jade is dropped off first and gives lee a hug before he leaves. Invader once again is in the back seat sleeping away oblivious to the world. Jade is very pleased for such a grand day out and hopes they will have many more.

A gutter ball is basically a ball that is in the gutter on the sides of the lane.
