Okay, you’ve just been given the green light for a live action Carmen movie. Who is your dream cast, and what characters from any version must make an appearance?

I’ll start:

Carmen: Lana Parrilla
Chief: Sorry it’s still gotta be Rodger Bumpass
Ivy: call me crazy…Sadie Sink has the right energy but I low key think Bella Thorne looks the part
Zack: I’m gonna need some help with this one because he’s gotta have the right 90s golden retriever energy. It could be fun to see Finn do it since we was a character in the reboot and I feel like he could pass for Bella’s sibling but idk how he would look blonde
Maelstrom: okay but hear me out…Billy Idol
Lee Jordan: Jacob Elordi
Sara Bellum: Kristen Stewart
Lee Galease: you know the only correct answer is Jeff Goldblum
We never see Page Turner out of costume but I feel like if we did she’d be Sarah Paulson

A live action Carmen Sandiego movie?!?! I heard it about over and over again since last year (2021), 2011 and 1998.

However, for my dream cast will be....

Carmen Sandiego (just like in the Netflix version): Gina Rodriguez
Ivy: Sofia Chicorelli Siena (appear in Dhar Mann movie shorts)
Zack: Kaido Lee Roberts (appear in Family Reunion and Dhar Mann movie shorts mostly he played Mikey)
Chief: Greg Lee? (Actor and game show host of WITWICS?) or perhaps Queen Latifah

Lee Jordan (not like the criminal one but a crimefighter): Mark Wahlberg, perhaps?
Cole Gannon: Ayden Mekus (appeared in Dhar Mann movie shorts)
Chase Devineaux: Dwayne Johnson (aka 'The Rock')
Armando Arguella: Carlos R. Chavez (appeared in Dhar Mann movie shorts)

Maelstrom (head of VILE/Netflix with a scar on his right eye/WOEICS?): Jeremy Irons?
Lee Galease: I agree, Jeff Goldblum is an excellent role for the character.
Sara Bellum: Rya Kihlstedt (wife of actor Gil Bellows)
Suhara: Ken Watanabe (who else)
Cookie Booker: without a doubt, Rita Moreno

Moe Skeeter: French Stewart
Lars Vegas: Vince Vaughan
Jules Argent: Lucy Liu
Cruiser: Seth Green

Countess Cleo: Tyra Banks (model and hosts of ANTM and DWTS)
Tigress (Netflix version): January Jones

Vic the Slick: Chas Laughlin (he appeared in Dhar Mann movie shorts)
Patty Larceny: Mair Mulroney (she appeared in commercials and works with singers like Katy Perry for example and of course appeared in Dhar Mann movie shorts)

Player (Netflix version): Finn Wolfhard

And last but not least a character never mentions in the Carmen Sandiego universe is named Dimitri (a former ACME agent turns Private Investigator who turns to be the Player's grandfather): Olek Krupa (he's my favorite actor)

In this version of some Carmen Sandiego's gang members joins up with her and steal the items before VILE does.

Okay there’s some golden choices in your list, if I was going with a Netflix universe I couldn’t agree more. The one character from another cannon I always agreed should be incorporated is Jules, I grew up with her game. And Lucy would be so good in that role. I had been thinking about Constance Wu too.

When working on any of my stories (IRL... for here or any of my others), I always try to think of that... I think it helps with figuring out how the characters interact... like, I think my character would interact differently if I was talking to Jeff Goldblum or Eminem, ya know?

Live action makes it a bit interesting...

Carmen: Gina could work if she looks the part (always had a light-skinned half Mexican in mind), I keep coming back to Selma Hayek, though
Chief: depends on what universe we're in... I see David Tennant, maybe Peter Capaldi, or Jeff Goldblum
Maelstrom: Hugh Laurie?
Ivy: maybe Christina Ricci,

Personally, I have an obsession with old movies and the old hollywood glamour (my porfile photo of Hedy Lamarr talks for itself); then I have my love for crime novels, detective programs and of course carmen sandiego My dream cast will never be possible because all the actors and actresses I'll suggest passed away, but I will put it anyway cause I always wanted to shared it with someone. Idk but if I had the oportunity I will returned them all just to film a movie of old Carmen Sandiego with classic noir style.

But if we talk about somethig of this era I have to say that for me Gina Rodriguez is perfect for Carmen (the old and netflix version) and just because it's more possible the movie with the new characters I would prefer Shannon Purser as Ivy. With the others I have no objection.

By the way it's my first time commenting and participating, my shyness and my struggle with language make me a little insecure, I'm woking on it.
