Indeed I did funny story about that is a knockoff game called Ninjala was made and while it is a good game it’s pay walled and super corny. I love Splatoon and basically merged the two into something new for the Splash Squad weapons.

I went over chapters 33-36 today.

You were really on a videogame kick while writing sections of this right? Even with knowing where the content came from and knowing what is here is a re-vision, I still feel a little in the dark. But who am I to speak. I bet both of us have different ideas on the origin to a computer book being put to use. Did the Pop Bots come from the before mentioned videogames?

( Gaah, ever since I got it an the dawn of the year, I've been playing my Switch almost like an addict. )

Nope the Pop-Bots are based on Wiley-Bots made by evil scientist Walter Wiley. Basically its background knowledge that Sachi and Candy used to come up with the name for their robot soldiers. Sarah Bellum built them to shut them up and get them out of her lab. They tacked on the name “Pop” because they are lazy and uninspired. They expect to get quick results and whatever they want given to them. No one in VILE had time to give them boundaries until Patty started giving them guidance.

The “Splash Squad” and “Vile City Girls” are video game inspired. The game “River City Girls” is about two deluded girls fighting to save their boyfriends Kunio and Riki from the game “River City Ransom” its the basis of what Sachi and Candy are doing fighting for what they feel is love.

This is over chapters 37-40.

The story appears to be coming back together. Please forgive me for thoughts of it feeling a little disjunct at times. Was part of this section being influenced by a computer RPG?

It was actually about giving Polly and Ann an adventure and framing it as a multi part episode and drawing inspiration from splatoon Ninjala and river city girls while throwing in political commentary. The cartoon show “Kids Next Door” pacing was used for the “Kids Down Street” It had the kids fighting against various adult villains seemingly disjointed but it was all connected together in the final season where the KND had to stop every villain they ever fought to save the future of kid kind.

I went over chapters 41-44 today.

Most everything feels like it's wrapping up by now but I know there's more to come. I was reminded of various sci fi and fantasy going through this like for example the island. It made me think of Marvel's Savage Land.

I don't know if this person from DA ever posted in this forum but it wouldn't shock me if at a time they did. Someone on DA had a thing for focusing on Patty Larceny. Were you influenced by this other person's interest in developing the character? And before you point it out I do realize you've focused some on other villains from witwics? like Double Trouble.

No Patty (blushes) was one of the characters that stuck out to me when I watched the game show and I worked her into my fan lore over the years. Until one day it just made sense to have her be one of the most powerful on VILE’s side. The island is influenced by the Strange Brigade game, but the main inspiration is the Syberia games part one and two.

This is over the ending chapters of the story and bonus content.

You wrapped up everything nicely while at the same time due to influences, had me wondering if elsewhere you're writing fan fiction for other fandoms as well. I'm also wondering what is the full catalog of video games you've discovered are useful for helping ideas relayed ( if not all mentioned in reply already ).

More than once due to attitude of the character, I wanted to give The Clock, the finger. The disclaimer at the very very end was a cute nice touch.

Thank you. I haven’t posted anything on other sites yet though others have. The Clock was fun to develop and write for. There are a lot of video games I could use as inspiration since I develop story worlds when I play most them. this led to adding characters from other games if I didn’t think the game lore was good enough to expand on in my head. This accidentally created a imaginary hub world where all the characters exist.

Resident Evil is a game series with a series with a huge amount of lore at this point and the puzzle solving was an inspiration since the games have you solving them in a survival situation when the characters could just use force most of the time.

Super Mario Bros. is also a big one. The Super show cartoon is basically fan fiction where Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool we’re shoved into different worlds every week. I just kept it going all the way up to Mario Odyssey.
