according to the wiki, tacos are 100% indigenous to Mexico. Also, the most primative taco is the fish taco

Yes, I believe historians consider it as a Mexican dish as well.

There is then a shift into tex-mex and cali-mex. But all of this, I've yet to experience for myself.

tacos with sour cream, olives, shredded cheese, meat, and salsa are what are well known as "taco" and not really the traditional style
