and of course it is, it's a queer classique. i've said for a while that there are three things gays love (gay men, lesbians, bis, pans, everybody) - cher, glitter, and spreadsheets - but i really could add clue to that list.
speaking of queer icons, there was an episode of a tomb raider "podcast" (sneer quotes as it's only on youtube so it does not qualify for podcast status) about "lara croft as lgbt icon" and i was just thinking we should make a similar podcast episode about carmen as lgbt icon. trouble is we don't have a podcast...
