(I'm working on something of a home automation project for my amateur radio building. The goal is to have access control via rfid. It will allow more granular control of who can go where, make it more easily revocable (than normal keys anyways), and allow for tracking usage statistics.)

(It's more of a volunteer/hobby deal at the moment, but I hope it helps the club building to look a little more professional overall.)

(Especially with how many things are operating out of that building anymore. I'm glad we got into there instead of the city turning it into a halfway house.)

My first thought was "we'd never have to worry about changing a combination or replacing a lost key again at the bank" if each user was given their own access to certain areas. or, like when we have to work at different branches, we wouldn't have to be concerned with an entirely new set of keys and combos.))

(You guys use physical keys? I thought for sure your security would demand some sort of proximity card system.)
