True, we have no real need for sizing adjustments to be made in the field, but I was thinking of a simplified proto-STUN, to be used only for the initial fitting.

You've seen that Nevon's STUN unit is different from Deric's right?

I'd like a system where, say, something of Deric's stop working, Nevon could lend his.

Ideal, but near impossible, unless you're only speaking of power sources or external additions like oxygen tanks.

'Proto-STUN' seems like a good generic title for a non-lethal weapon.

It's a nice goal, but there's practical limits on what sub-assemblies can reasonably be made field serviceable.

And I also don't want us to get to that point where an engineer has to be on hand every time we deploy.

(And saying proto-STUN reminds me of a dream I had not too long ago.)

That was only a concern during the first few operational deployments.

The system is robust enough at this point to give confidence of field durability.

I ran into a lot of problems with the graphene earlier as well. It was better to scrap the entire thing and rebuild.
