A Question for Cannon Characters

Although the title says Cannon only, we can open this up to anybody. With the Cannon Characters though, What ultimately lead you to play your character?

It began in the midst of a sultry summer evening. I was making a career out of painting -- women, in particular. But this one dame kept circulating back into my roster...

That's almost true, it mostly went like this:

I was working on concept art for a project that may or may not have involved the title character with the initials C.S. And then somebody said "Hey you want to write Chase?" And I said "Who?"

Then we went off to Pablo Escobar's island and dug up 53 kilograms of cocaine and the rest, as they say, is history.

I chose Jacqueline because she's funny, because I relate to her as a former Catholic schoolgirl, and because I can kind of relate to the dual personality thing. I don't have dissociative identity disorder, but I've described myself as "the world's biggest sweetheart and the world's biggest bitch" (relevant). And because I had a bit of a crush on her as a kiddie.

Oh you remember... that one party. We did that thing and someone told that story, about the turtle eggs and the waterproof bag... and we went by seaplane...

I grew up with treasure of knowledge, so when I found out no one was Jules yet, I changed my character from my oc, Gloria, to Jules

O.k. so I have a new question involving Zach and Ivy. This one has been bugging me since I came to TECS.

I've been checking official guidebooks and the cartoon but also online for this answer and can't find it. So like, where did you find their official names "Monaghan" was it just made up for Role Play or did I miss something somewhere in the Canon?
