a seemingly too quiet day at headquarters has Joe doing a tune-up of his truck when all of a sudden his phone rings and it goes to voicemail.

"hey this is Joe leave a message on the beep" *beep*

"Many greetings to you...this is Robocrook unit-059. I come to you on the advice of others whom you have assisted because I have a dilemma which requires further assistance than I have the capability of handling on my own means...it would seem someone has done something to make an attempt to ruin both the history of computer technology and the history of robotics which means I myself, the very idea of the future of that latter along with many of brethren whom we use in the modern day will cease to exist unless something is done to force the responsible party to cease and decist immediately and for this I am counting on you and your team. please do not fail!"

"Masaki, Griffin, Avalon, to the Garage ON THE DOUBLE!!! WE GOOOOT OOOOONE!!!
he roared sliding out from underneath the now fully tuned up truck and slapping the alarm button to get everyone on board.

Um, George Stibitz made a demonstration adder in 1937 leading to the Model I Complex Calculator in 1939 or whatever…

okay...so we got something...but i think we need to go back further cause if we're talking computers its definitely more than calculators. Joe said as he looked it up...

1801: Joseph Marie Jacquard, a French merchant and inventor invents a loom that uses punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs. Early computers would use similar punch cards.

I think we have our starting point!... 1801! but the message also mentioned the history of robotics and that I know...is 1941! Asimov!
so between 1801-1941 is our time target

question is who's the punk behind this? Belljar who this would be prime territory for is already in jail so who else do we know would be unable to resist such an opportunity you figure Masaki?

Jimothy is a real raccoon without a spine. He looks as though AI created him. He's like in New York or something

Yesterday, while watching a streamer, I learned something cool about the Eiffel Tower. The 72 names engraved on the Eiffel Tower belong to French scientists, engineers, and mathematicians who supported the building process. These golden letters are located on the first level (the lowest platform) of the tower, just beneath the balcony that runs around the structure.

Other things I learned about it: The stairs only go up to the 2nd floor. After that you have to take an elevator. The original spiral staircase was sold for scrap.
