Now the Christmas tree itself is a defense system scanning in radar and sonar frequencies. It detects untimely gift grabbers and sounds the alarm. People say I went too far with the gift security, but I really don’t think people will mind having to do a retinal, voice, and facial scan; along with a fingerprint I.D. to open the boxes their registered gifts are in. I think it will increase anticipation of what’s inside. The area surrounding the tree and gifts is also laced with multiple security safeguards only Santa has free roaming capability in the secure location. This Smart Tree invention will revolutionize the joy of gift giving!

*Detectives and thieves alike start holding their gifts in range of the scanner and then place their registered gifts under the tree* Brrzzt! You have 10 seconds to vacate the secure zone. All gift placements are final. Brrzzt! *Candy cane poles rise from the ground all around the tree and lasers emitted from them form a motion sensor circle around the tree.*
