I shelled out for a new wacom cintiq for faster workflow. Worth every penny.

Is an iPad not similar?

iPads are... kids' stuff. Aside from the 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, the cintiq displays my 4k screen onto itself as a second screen, giving me direct pen-to-screen input. Plus the stability... also it costs about twice as much as the iPad pro.

It utilises your computer's full processing power?

That it does, mathing out my vector inputs using the NVIDIA Max-Q on my laptop is way nicer than what ipads can offer.

That said, I do have an ipad pro for quick sketches.
