((Remember I’m Rosemary now)))

The snow drifted towards the sleet that covered my city. I assumed there were other children that were willing to sled down a hill a couple blocks away from this boring beige hospital room. An I.V dripped warm blood into my shivering body, I watched the bag slowly empty it’s contents into me.

I didn’t faint from the inability to produce enough red blood cells, and I’ve never fainted in my life from my medical condition.

The cold weather sent painful spasms throughout my tired frame, as I watched a documentary on the infamous Doris Payne’s six decade long jewel thieving career.

The nurse walked into my pediatric hospital room with a cheery disposition etched across his face

“Good morning, Rosemary, I brought you your breakfast,”. He explained the obvious as he placed the trey on the rolling table.

I signed thank you with the arm that wasn’t tied down straight, I knew I fidgeted too much in my sleep so my left arm was restrained

The nurse signed back your welcome as he put a straw in my circular tub of apple juice. “Can I get a mocha?” I asked as I wondered how apple juice will give me energy to work remotely. But, How could I work my laptop with one arm? These questions flood my brain as the breakfast came near me.

The nurse left in a skippy way. I enjoyed my breakfast: as much as hospital quality grits, bacon and a buttermilk biscuit could supply for enjoyment.

My heart monitor beeped steadily as I tried to eat my food with my available hand. A ditsy commercial was playing for a new migraine medicine from a medical company named sandpiper. I didn’t pay much attention as I wasn’t thrilled by pharmaceutical advancements on capital gain from exploiting the vulnerable citizens.

I finished my breakfast, and I turned off my tv as I wondered when will I finally live a life of purpose beyond a FaceTime channel?

popularized by a Twitter account in 2010. It is named after the misunderstood giant in the 2003 film Big Fish. Older or alternative terms used locally include simply "the fog" or sometimes "Big Mama", Seasonal Names: It is often associated with the terms "June Gloom" or "Fogust" due to its prevalence in the summer months.

Did you know....the horns on the viking's helmets are a myth? The popular image of the "horned Viking" can be traced back to the 1870s. Costume designer Carl Emil Doepler created horned helmets for Richard Wagner’s opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen to enhance the characters' theatrical presence. (I BELIEVE in the Where in Time game, they tell us this too....)
