Adrianna Covrenzi is the adopted child of Lord William Talvis IV (her biological uncle), a British lord of mixed Hungarian descent. He is best known for his contributions to the world as a naturalist, but was also rumored to be a descendant of Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed.
Much of Adrianna's childhood was spent travelling to exotic locations with her adopted father, and it was during these times that she developed a love for collecting artifacts - amongst other skills. When Adrianna was thirteen, a boating accident in the Amazon left her father unable to walk. Lord William returned to The United Kingdom and Adrianna was sent to Switzerland to attend boarding school and formal training in finishing school. She did not receive particularly high marks in any subject, but was often the star of athletic teams, most notably fencing and javelin throwing. In her last year of school, Lord William Talvis passed away, leaving her with a sizable inheritance.
Adrianna never finished her studies, and at 21 married Counte Covrenzi, taking his name and title, as well as moving to his family home in Castello di Tenebra. Only two years later, the Counte passed away in an unfortunate sailing accident. Contessa was on vacation in Egypt at the time.

Ambitious, intelligent, and highly opportunistic, Contessa is often seen as reckless and unbearably haughty. She insists on being impeccably dressed, and is often obsessed with her own physical appearance.
She enjoys the tango, javelin throwing, big game hunting, and big game hunting with a javelin.
- Aspirations
- Adrianna spends much of her time tirelessly collecting items for her personal museum, and has come into contact with Carmen Sandiego many times in her pursuit of artifacts. They were never seen as friends before Adrianna became a member of V.I.L.E.

((IRL: So, the new mega-tower works... actually, pretty sure it's worked for the last month. Every time I tried booting it, I had the TV on the wrong input. It's nice and fast... Threadripper 3950, 24-core, 48-threads, 3.8GHz with a Titan X video card, 2 1TB M.2s (one is boot drive), about 3.25TB between 4 HDDs. From when Win logo shows t o usable desktop, maybe 5 seconds))

((So... the big secret recently is... my folks got their eviction notice for smoking in the building... so, they have a meeting with the caretaker and HRA in the afternoon... I'll be there (we're in the same building). In their favor... the caretaker had a cop, and went to HRA without talking to the manager, so maybe that might be in their favor... dunno. so, things are up in the air right now.))

((So... the appeal date is the 19th... they'll try for an extension. The main place a friend of theirs is pushing for has a waiting list, and beyond that, the friend is in a 1 bedroom that's about 1/3 smaller than mine... there's no way they could fit in there (and no ceiling light in the living room or bedroom... just a switched outlet in each). I'm expanding the search in the morning to neighboring areas... low income housing, section 8, all that))

((OOC: So, Thanksgiving is canceled, so is Christmas, for this year. Basically, when I'm awake, I'm hunting for more apartments that they can apply at. So far, lots of waiting lists, no headway. The folks are low-income (SSI), but the eviction on the 30th kills everything. Apparently, the building manager has heard from a few residents that the folks are evicted... the three of us keep to ourselves, and have only told a few people what's going on... and, then there's the charges...))
