    I actually think (and this is only personal opinion) cruises are some of the worst ways to see the world. You only have a little time docked at any one location, and you spend most of your time travelling in a secluded bubble.

    It was mostly due to engine failure, no hull breach, so cruises are generally safe. Your mom should enjoy one sometime, @Julie Justice. It's a great way for seniors to travel.
