i know the historical reason October was originally the 8th month of the Roman calendar. Then January and February were added to the calendar making October the 10th month. However October retained its original name.
((OOC: so, finally got a response from the motherboard seller... they're saying I got the wrong RAM... when I found the CMOS battery, there wasn't a millivolt of charge left (it was taped to the top of the I/O ports))
((IRL: so, tomorrow. mental health appointment... Wednesday is the foot clinic appointment... to see if the insoles are helping (hint: they aren't)... may end up in surgery to try and fix the hallax ridgus on my right foot... never had surgery before. I'm all OEM, so far))
((IRL: So, the new mega-tower works... actually, pretty sure it's worked for the last month. Every time I tried booting it, I had the TV on the wrong input. It's nice and fast... Threadripper 3950, 24-core, 48-threads, 3.8GHz with a Titan X video card, 2 1TB M.2s (one is boot drive), about 3.25TB between 4 HDDs. From when Win logo shows t o usable desktop, maybe 5 seconds))
