(Anime was largely enspired by the sest, walt disney and the like, but there's a lot of things that distinguish it. Like the number of frames, the acument towards dubbing.)
(The east and the west both discovered comics in a way that can be considered organic. So there's minor technical differences between japanese comics, or Manga, and american ones.)
(I like to go to steampunk and writing conventions. The comic cons are really just big shopping sprees for me. I avoid anime cons because I have a somewhat good but mostly negative history with them.)
(I tend not to have beer or many kind of spirits because they're overwhelming to me, but I can appreciate a lager that has a certain flavor to it, like hazlenut.)
It's been gradually slowing for years... the theory has to do with the aging of the galaxy... it's not that we build tall stuff or heavy stuff (those have no impact on that).

Update on the Louvre Robbery: there are four more being arrested today, unfortunately there's no trace of the jewels being found since October 19th according to BBC News.
