I actually finished this at almost 10 pm last night. The reason it wasn't posted is because 10 pm is normally when I start my nightly session of working on Vocal Canvases. Will anyone be reading that? Please speak up.?

I think a comment on this page needs clearing up because I really don't know if anyone has read Devil's Blood. Phil's comment about explosives dates back to in the novel, Louis's notes over the test which confirmed who could be in the newly formed gang.

While I deeply appreciate the likes, I just don't know what you guys think of this most of the time. ?

If it's wondered what happened to the laptop, Penny is holding it in the hand you can't see.

... Still working on Vocal Canvases. Tenchi knows most of the non-CS trivia in the story. But more has been added, even a nod CS related I'm not sure people will catch so I'll just relay it here. When during the interview it's asked how many employees does the ACME Detective Agency have. The answer of 35 people, that comes from 35 years of the franchise. I will share that non-CS trivia to anyone else interested.

There is a weird nod on Patrick's canon origin that in it's self treks over to yet another fiction-verse. If he hasn't been figured out by now, this will point a clear finger. But remember I can get away with this nod simply because the name comes from outside pop culture and stems from mythology.

I have another test coming up, two in fact on one day. ... I'm grateful I'm going to be knocked out for them. ?

What we think of it most of the time is it's amazing, you are very talented artistically and we are honored to have you here. What you present in you posts is refreshing. I love Manga(comics) and seeing your posts makes me happy. Though I do have many video games to play and guitar strumming to do currently, I always read your posts the day or two days after posting. But I think people are not critical of each others work because we want to encourage creativity and not make people feel intimidated to write the stories they want. The character arcs you have set up are interesting and the stories progress so far has been worth reading. A lot of members read your posts but they aren't going to post anything since that is not their style they are more observant than openly critical though @Deric Storm is probably loving your stuff as well (Hint: He loves the Shadow put that in and he'll read every page you put out.) But honestly if @Chase gave out Detective Awards(which he should) you would get the award for your "Exemplary Work in Artistry and Penmanship". Though I guess reviews are a double edged sword; if @Charlet (ferret) told me my Majo Shojo story was dry, boring, and kept her invested the same way a sea sponge would; I would find that funny... and heartbreaking. So know that while my half hearted dream of being like my favorite western half hearted fan-fiction writer/artist duo Gecko and Meedee will probably never be realized(since Charlet won't draw art to illustrate my stories). That you do the best of both worlds; You write and draw and I respect that, as do others here.

Thank you. ?

I've considered myself a not bad but not great comic artist for a long time. I guess that comes from the fact I'm not hired very often and trained myself in this art specifically even through I know other fields as well. I also know there are much better comic artists out there.

( There was a whole paragraph here saying words I know I've said before. To sum up what was said, thank you again about the support this forum shows through out it's community. Outside this place I've only had my work appreciated once. Sadly I learned that one time was false. The person hadn't actually read the story, they only skimmed over it. )

I can't think of how to insert the Shadow into this. If it appeared some how maybe as a desktop wallpaper on someone's computer or a comic off to the side in a room. Loaded Stone has such a tightly controlled set of plots, I don't see those ideas happen I just figured out how to do one of those ideas. After this section of story you've see it happen.

I know at over 70 pages this will sound off but you're right about the arcs being setup. I'd say both plot lines A & B are now starting to get underway. I'm excluding plot line C in this because it really in my opinion started more Devil's Blood.

Please explain Gecko and Meedee?

They make Mother/Earthbound fan stories except they include extensive comic illustrations. They are mostly known for doing M2 Harmony and Memoria(which is on hiatus... forever) Memoria would have included more side material and even trading cards made by them but then they went off to college and decided to stop making it.(the world is cruel but we must move on) They posted M2 Harmony on Starmen.net and that’s how I found out about them. They are currently trying to figure out what to do next, but I’m not rushing them.(though I do miss the SMOTHER posts)

I'm sorry for how long this took to make. Blame that on dealing with a plumbing issue / my insurance, medical tests ?, and in the background still writing Vocal Canvases ?. Top that all with the last few hours if you look else where seen and unseen, I'm in a rare gab-fest ?.

This would have been finished sooner but I spent two days greatly preoccupied with fear over hurricane Laura. San Leon got spared but not Galveston Island.

I dared people on DA to spot the DiC easter eggs on this page. This isn't the first time I've done the stunt with a cell phone cover. It happened back in Iron and Steel.
The bit with people's cell phones is important, you have to remember back to Devil's Blood to understand this. It will come up again later.

I'm sorry that I forgot to post page 74 when I finished it. Lately I've been extremely tired without explanation and have been forgetting to do little things. ... That actually lead to a three night sleep study because a sleep neurologist knows something is wrong.

Still working on Vocal Canvases in the background. ... I hope the drawn out way it's being written doesn't feel discouraging to people to read it when I publish it? The story just happens to be more complex than the last and it's handling more characters.

When if you read the story and wonder where I was in writing it right now. Last night I got through Sadie having her knife returned to her and her feeling the need to vandalize the whole parking lot in front of the hotel.

For Loaded Stone I didn't clear this up on DA but in this forum I feel I must. No one has said if they've read the earlier stories in the series, so this mystery on the page likely is a whooper to you guys in where it comes from. There is double meaning in what is being said else where on page 75. Also who the heck is making the "Captain Ice Wing" comment.

Doctor Spectrum whose real name is Sanjay Francks, is the only MAD agent to ever switch sides. This plot idea started back in Iron and Steel. That story near it's beginning is also where the nickname Captain Ice Wing comes from. Alan used to be a dorm roommate to Sanjay in college. In the first story, The Nature of Change & Destruction. Alan suggests to John he's called Captain Capeman before switching tracks and says Corporal Capeman instead.

Sanjay leaning into becoming a good guy was really driven home in a short story following Iron and Steel, named Hue Shift. His last appearance until now was at the end of Devil's Blood when it's learned he's a new employee for HAPPY. Even if HAPPY isn't really aware of that fact.

The Maid Bot isn't going to go after people, I just want that out there in advance. But this isn't the first time one of them has been noted with homicidal intent. The short story focusing on Brain named, Creature Comforts shows it too with another bot of the same type.

@Lucy ... don't know if you really want wolf spiders in your home... I'd go for jumping spiders, they can't bite... wolf spiders are the fast movers, and they can bite.

I plan to use the Lifeline phone tethered as Internet source, share that to my own router... I've done it before (it's messy, and not 100% effective, but it works). ))
