    December 26
    San Francisco
    Director of Operations
    Full Name:
    Chase Devineaux
    Boss (situational)
    December 26
    6'2.5" (191 cm)
    85 - 95 kilograms
    Eye Color:
    Grey (Gray)
    Hair Color:
In his mid thirties, Chase has the telltale signs of a thinker. His brows are firm, naturally lowered, and supports the bridge of his nose at almost a right-angle. When he's not conscious of it, and he often isn't, his lips form an unprovoked frown. Below the center of that downward arch is a light chin cleft usually covered by shades of a semi-beard.

His brown hair is straight, orderly, rarely more than 2.5 inches in length, and accented with lighter patches of gray at his temples.

He has a smile that, granted it makes an appearance, veers slightly to his left.

At 191 centimeters, he has more height than build, and depending on workload, his weight fluctuates between 85 and 95 kilograms. Currently, as Director of Operations, it's closer to the lower margin, forcing him to wear a tighter belt than he'd readily admit.

Often seen with a suit, and rarely without a tie, he attributes his attire to a tasteful mother. She dressed his father, at one time, and taught him the same. But the other truth behind his clothing stems from prudence. He likes his life organized and properly reflecting his role, whether making first impressions with new recruits or discussing itineraries with the ACME Board of Directors.
    Character Background:
Chase Devineaux oversees Cells and Operatives world wide, he also controls international missions. He no longer recruits agents directly; instead, he selects them after basic training. His official title is 'Director of Operations'.

    BACKGROUND (Currently subject to change.)
    [1995 - 1997]: United States Marines 4th Division, 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company.
[1997 - 2003]: Detective, ACME, private firm. Special Agent.
    [2003 - 2005]: Political Science, Master's Degree, Yale University.
    [2005 - 2006]: ACME Academy Instructor.
[2006 - 2008]: Private Contracts, Krav Maga - Brown Belt
[2008 - 2011]: ACME HQ in San Francisco, official (unofficial) Field Director, Special Operations.
    [2011 - Current]: ACME's Director of Operations.

After necessary education and a childhood in Warren, Maine; Chase Devineaux entered the U.S. Marine Corps and eventually took Officer Training. Despite gaining the rank of Marine Captain, he has never served in a war.

In 1996, he entered ACME Academy and took the Detective Exam, primarily working in 'Missing Persons'. Sometime between 1998 and 1999, Chase was partnered with Carmen Sandiego on several international cases. The partnership was accepted, but was never considered official until after cases ended. By winter of 1998, the former Marine began working in Covert Operations for the Special Division of ACME.

He took time off to pursue a master's degree in Political Science at Yale in 2003, among other things.

Between 2005 and 2006, Chase Devineaux instructed ACME Agents at the Academy. He officially resigned from the position in 2006 where he aimed to pursue a more serious relationship with his then live-in girlfriend. Consequently, the relationship failed and Devineaux spent the next two years working on private contracts. During this time, he pursued training in Israel where he received a brown belt in Krav Maga.

Some time in 2008, Chase returned to ACME and accepted a new title. He is currently head of Special Operations and is ACME's Director of Operations.

It's a little-known fact that Devineaux plays the piano and once was 'the guy with the guitar' before joining the Marines. He was a large force behind getting the Steinway in ACME HQ's wreck room.
According to most, Chase has an outwardly light personality despite being known for his silence.

He's a competent and eloquent communicator, but stalls out on anything remotely intimate because he believes them to be unproductive.

Chase processes his surroundings quickly; he picks out patterns and gauges exits -- this is practically a hobby. Some consider his thorough nature a close resemblance to paranoia.

While he suffers from marginal recklessness and a quick temper, over the years, he's learned to keep that in control. As a leader, he focuses on creating a fair, commanding influence over those under his watch. Not all his decisions are faultless, and he can be idealistic, demanding, and narrow-minded.

Often firm and resolute, he prefers his friendships strong and lifelong. He has a discerning moral compass, and as long as one approaches him politely, he is often the beginning of the end to their problems. He is, however, harsh on those he believes goes against his moral grain: A man of his caliber loses interest in traitors as swiftly as he demonstrates his devotion to those he cares for.
Chase tackles problems and cases one at a time. He carries a strangely idealistic long-term goal to someday have a family and a sail boat, possibly somewhere on the Mediterranean... not that he advertises the idea.
